Thank God I made it home safe from the Best Event Decorators' convention ever. I am so grateful to God for seeing me through. What can I say to my wonderful family for all the support and to my awesome friends for their words of encouragement!
I know the question at the back of your minds right now is how I even got into this Decor business and why? As you all know, I am an Accountant Assistant by profession. Yes, working with numbers! My number one inspiration for becoming an event decorator is my DESIRE to create an atmosphere of excitment. There have been on many occasions where a couple put together a party to welcome a baby, birthday party, anniversaries, graduations or even weddings and as a "GUEST" feel a deep sadness in my heart because all but the decor was not inviting. Sad looking focal point/headtable, cheap looking tablecovers, strands of balloons attached to pillars, no centerpieces, NO STATEMENT so to speak. Meanwhile the couple is looking beautiful in their outfits. Hmmmm, what is that supposed to mean? So, me being the kind of person to feel welcomed and have fun at parties, sat down one day and said, I have to do something about this! My dear husband did not hesitate in helping me go shopping, pack things into our van and head to the event site to decorate. My sweet sisters will also join in the fun. My wonderful boys will make all the fancy napkin folds for me with directions and join us. Lady, 2yrs old will be hanging around putting things where they belong, Lol. Oh my dear mom......will take care of all the linens and chargers for me. From the bottom of my heart, I say THANK YOU to ALL for all the help and words of encouragement to give it all my BEST!!!
